Urban Parks, Green Space and Wellbeing. A substantial body of research articulates the multiple contributions of urban green space, a category of land cover that includes public parks and other (public or private) vegetated areas, to human health and wellbeing [4, 36–42].These green spaces provide ecosystem services that support human welfare in multiple ways [43–45]. Public parks can be of almost any size and configuration, but share a common purpose of specific and civic benefit for users from the general public. Some parks are protected natural lands of immense size, while others are smaller designed spaces in urban or suburban communities.

Each table includes only those areas reporting visitors for the period covered by that particular table. For purposes of this report, the areas are grouped and the data summarized in accordance with the tabulation below. Areas listed in the tabulation are identifiable as to type by the code numbers. CODE NUMBER TYPE OF AREA 1 National Parks. administrative region. Inside the front cover of this report will be found a map showing the location of the individual areas and the boundaries of the administrative regions. Statistics on the public use of the National Parks, including series on both visits and overnight stays in the parks, are published monthly.

You should maintain existing cleaning and hygiene practices for outdoor areas.
